Who Is The CEO Of Unilever? Alan Jope

In January 2019, Alan received the position as CEO. With operations in 190 countries and a daily customer base of 3.4 billion, Alan is Unilever’s CEO and in charge of one of the largest and most geographically diverse consumer products firms in the world.

Who is the CEO of Unilever?

In the UK, Alan joined Unilever in 1985. He formerly held the position of President of the Beauty & Wellness and Personal Care Division before being named CEO.

Additionally, he spent 14 years in North America and 13 years in Asia in executive positions.

Alan more than doubled Unilever’s operations in China and established the crucial groundwork for future success.

As Unilever’s CEO recently, Alan oversaw the consolidation of the company’s legal entities under a single parent company, the acceleration of the Prestige and Functional Nutrition product portfolios, and the introduction of the company’s Climate Transition Action Plan, which will be put to a vote by shareholders in 2021.

Additionally, Alan has combined Unilever’s business and sustainability goals into a single plan known as the Compass, which aims to connect the company’s leadership in sustainability with the acceleration of its financial performance.

Alan serves as Vice Co-Chair of the Consumer Goods Forum, Chair of the Board for UNICEF’s Generation Unlimited, and Vice-Chair of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) Executive Committee.

Alan earned a BA Hons in Commerce from Edinburgh University and completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2001. He was just named a visiting fellow at Oxford University.
