Ashana Jones claimed that despite her father Russell Jones, alias Ol’ Dirty Bastard of the Wu-Tang Clan, passing away in 2004, neither she nor her six half-siblings had received any money from his inheritance.
Russell Jones, a member of the Wu-Tang Clan and better known as Ol’ Dirty Bastard, was only Ashana Jones’ father along with his six other kids from five different women.
Ashana remembers Dirty, as his friends called him, as being “an incredible father,” even though she was only 7 years old when he passed away from an accidental drug overdose. I recall traveling with him to places like Universal Studios, Grandma’s house, and Coney Island. Even her half-siblings were “excellent connections” with her.
However, the rapper did not leave a will when he abruptly killed away in 2004 at the age of 35; as a result, his children are still vying for a piece of his legacy.
Jarred Weisfeld, ODB’s former manager, said to The Post, “He was young.” “You can’t tell a 35-year-old to write a will.”
Ashana’s mother, Krishana Rucker, was awarded a $500,000 settlement in 2020 for unpaid child support beginning at the time of his passing. Payments were finished in February of last year.
